William A. and Mona E. Dauch began the family business in
1958 as a stone and sand hauler serving various ready mix plants in
Northcentral Ohio. The business was started with a single semi
vehicle, but soon grew by adding one vehicle at a time.
The
company was founded on Bill and Mona's basic principals of life.
Honesty, integrity and hard work. The have strived over the years to
provide quality products with exemplary service.
By 1966, the
company was comprised of three tractor trailers, two mixer trucks,
and four employees in addition to Bill and Mona. In addition to
hauling stone, sand and ready-mix concrete, we also began offering a
complete line of building supplies.
In 1980 we expanded our
marketing area by opening a ready-mix concrete plant in Willard,
Ohio. In 1985 we opened our plant in Bucyrus, Ohio, and just
recently in 1998, opened our fourth plant in Elyria,
Ohio.
During 1986 we continued to expand and service our
growing customer base by adding pre-cast items to the list of
products available.
In 1994, we tested the marketing area in
Lorain County by buying wholesale concrete and offering it for
resale. Realizing the great potential in this area, we purchased a
ready-mix concrete plant in Elyria, Ohio early in 1998. We intend to
service our Lorain County customers with the same quality and
commitment as we do customers in Crawford, Erie, Huron, Marion,
Richland, Seneca, and Wyandot counties.
At present we employ
a total of 72 employees and own 12 tractor trailers and 36
mixer trucks, including 19 front discharge mixers. Our vast customer
base includes government projects, general contractors, highway
contractors, sub-contractors, homebuilders, farmers, individuals and
the all around do-it-yourself handyman.
